The design carefully respects the scale of the historic center, ensuring the new building integrates harmoniously into the existing urban fabric while preserving its relationship with the streets, volumes, and local atmosphere.

At the same time, the project reinterprets the materiality, design, and proportions of Coruche’s traditional houses in a contemporary way.

This approach creates a hotel that maintains the authenticity of the place, reimagining traditional elements while reinforcing the site’s historical and cultural continuity.

Finally, the project highlights the exceptional views that define this unique setting—the Sorraia River, the bullring, the lezírias, and the townscape of Coruche—by carefully orienting the design to make the surrounding landscape a central part of the hotel experience.
